Warrior

With the vitality of youth and the wisdom of age blended in perfect harmony, his body bore the marks of relentless training—hardened skin, a powerful physique, and an air of refined courtesy that set him apart from common brawlers. Towering at an imposing height, his sheer strength was enough to wield an eighty-jin crescent-moon blade as if it were nothing more than a wooden staff. For this, he was hailed as the first successor of the Zhongnan Sect, known throughout the martial world as “Pacheon Guchang, Zhang Wují”—Heaven-Piercing Titan Spear.
Born into a prosperous family, young Sima (his childhood name) inherited the martial legacy of a long line of warriors. While other children played at make-believe, he had already embarked upon the path of a true martial artist.
But he was not just a master of peerless martial arts. He was also a skilled weaponsmith, crafting arms with his own hands and wielding a vast array of weapons and techniques. Because of his unparalleled mastery in both warfare and combat, the people of Chang’an revered him as the “Little God of War” (小軍神).
Each day, as he rode forth from the main gates of the Zhongnan Sect atop his beloved steed, Zonglí Horse, with his ever-loyal hound, Huamí, at his side, it was as if the entire continent awoke with him—the herald of a new dawn in the martial world.
Assassin

Born in Shaanxi Province, Qinglang was forced to part with her family at the tender age of ten due to dire poverty. To survive, she toiled endlessly at grueling tasks that even grown adults struggled to endure. Yet, despite her efforts, she could only send a meager handful of silver taels back home. Each day was a battle against hunger, and every night she wondered if she would make it to the next dawn.
One fateful day, she aided a blind beggar—a simple act of kindness that changed her life forever. That beggar was no ordinary man; he was the Master of the Assassin’s Gate. Under his guidance, Qinglang abandoned her past and stepped into the shadows as an assassin.
Now at twenty-one, she has shed the frailty of childhood. Though her face still bears faint freckles and scars from her harsh past, a soft dusting of rosy powder now graces her cheeks, and her red lips part to reveal gleaming white teeth—accentuated by the dimples that make her beauty all the more striking. Her petite frame, once lost in the drudgery of survival, now hints at the curves of a grown woman, marking her passage into adulthood.
On a mission, she moves like the wind—swift, silent, and deadly. With unparalleled qīnggōng and a mastery of secret arts honed through years of relentless training, she eliminates her targets without a trace. Among the Three Great Assassins of the Central Plains, she is the one known as “Shadow of Silence, Ten Perfections of No Sound—Hei Ying.” A phantom in the dark, a whisper before death.
Mage

Following the teachings of Daoism, he devoted himself to scholarly pursuits and honed his martial arts to vanquish the demons and evil spirits that plagued the land. He was the very image of a noble scholar, a young man of modest stature who was never seen without a book in hand. For this, people called him “The Scholar Prince of Books.”
Yet, his past was not without darkness. In his youth, he was swept into the martial world, where his thirst for victory led him to practice a forbidden demonic art known as “Soul-Shattering Heaven Extinction.” This path earned him the infamous title “Hundred Ghost Demon Head,” feared throughout the martial realm.
However, before he could be completely consumed by darkness, he was saved by the revered Daoist master Tae Seon Zhenren, who guided him toward the path of enlightenment. From then on, he dedicated his life to aiding those tormented by spirits and demons, becoming a Daoist adept whose wisdom and virtue were widely respected.
To the common people, he was a refined and scholarly young master, a beacon of knowledge and righteousness. But to the malevolent spirits that plagued the land, he was a merciless executioner, wielding his arts with ruthless precision. Thus, the people of the Central Plains came to call him “Gui-Fa Daoist Ah-Seong” – The Exorcist Daoist of Ghostly Law.
Monk

Though now a revered and virtuous senior monk, Master Yi Gon was once a young scholar known by the name Deng Huajun. In his youth, he dedicated himself to passing the imperial examination, carrying books in hand as he walked to the study hall each day. His striking features and refined demeanor often drew wistful sighs from the young women of the village, who could only admire him from afar. Bound by his family’s expectations, he aimed to secure an official post and bring honor to his lineage.
However, fate had other plans.
On his journey to take the imperial examination, he encountered a breathtakingly beautiful maiden on a remote mountain path. Bewitched by her charms, he fell into a trance, oblivious to the passage of time. Days, perhaps weeks, slipped away as he remained by her side—only to awaken in a desolate graveyard, clutching the remnants of a skeletal corpse. His hands trembled as he realized the horrifying truth: the exquisite feasts he had savored had been nothing more than tree roots and putrid water pooled in muddy hollows, and the maiden who had enchanted him was none other than a shape-shifting nine-tailed fox demon.
Shaken to his core, Deng Huajun saw his own weakness—the ease with which he had succumbed to base desires—and was consumed with shame. Resolving to purge himself of such frailty, he sought refuge in Shaolin Temple, dedicating himself to rigorous spiritual and martial training. Years of discipline transformed him into an unshakable monk, immune to the temptations of demons or spirits.
Now known as Master Yi Gon, he wanders the land, offering salvation to those plagued by supernatural evils. No longer the delicate scholar of his youth, he has grown into a broad-shouldered, middle-aged monk, yet the wisdom and virtue concealed within the folds of his flowing kasaya robes are immeasurable. Using his vast knowledge, he pens treatises on demons and spirits, records their weaknesses, and devises mystical formations and mechanical contraptions to exorcise them. Though his youthful beauty has faded, his profound scholarship and boundless compassion have elevated him to legendary status.
